Can I use it without paying?
No. Pitchkit is $39, one time, and the purchase includes everything: brief matching, artist references, Whisper lyric transcription, pitch folders, on an unlimited catalog. If it does not fit the way you work, email within 14 days for a full refund.
What does it cost?
$39, one time, as of September 2026. No subscription, and updates are included. If you have seen $49 or $99 on an older listing, those were earlier launch prices; $39 is the current price.
What audio formats does Pitchkit support?
MP3, WAV, AIFF, FLAC, and M4A. If it's in your catalog folder, Pitchkit will index it.
Do I need to tag my files or add metadata first?
Nope. Pitchkit reads the audio directly and figures out BPM, key, energy, and mood on its own. If your files have ID3 tags, it'll use those too, but it's not required.
How does the brief matching actually work?
Two halves. First, Pitchkit listens to every song and works out its BPM, key, energy, mood and, if you turn on transcription, its lyrics, all without you tagging anything. Then it parses your brief for tempo ranges, genres, moods, themes and artist references, and scores your catalog against them. Tempo is honored precisely: ask for 110–125 BPM and songs in that window rank up, songs far outside it rank down. Artist references are where the AI comes in, add an API key in Setup and “something like Phoebe Bridgers” is translated into real musical characteristics before matching. Without a key it falls back to a built-in list of about 200 artists.
Does my music get uploaded anywhere?
Never. Pitchkit runs entirely on your Mac. Your audio files are analyzed locally and never transmitted anywhere. We don't have servers, accounts, or any access to your catalog.
How big can my catalog be?
There's no hard limit. Pitchkit has been tested with catalogs of 1,000+ songs. Initial indexing takes a few hours on a large catalog; after that, matching is instant.
Is this only for sync pitching?
Not at all. It works for any kind of brief, sync, label A&R, artist co-write pitches, playlist pitching, anything. If someone gave you a description of what they're looking for, Pitchkit can match against it.
Can I see it before I download anything?
Yes. The See a real example page walks through the whole workflow with real screenshots and a short demo video. And if Pitchkit does not fit the way you work, email musicpitchkit@gmail.com within 14 days and you'll get a full refund.
Do I need an internet connection?
Only for the initial download and for occasional updates. Once installed, Pitchkit runs entirely offline, indexing, brief matching, lyric transcription all happen locally on your Mac.
What exactly do I download, and how do I install it?
A zip containing Pitchkit.app. Drag it to Applications and open it like any other Mac app, it lives in your Dock and its window opens in your browser, running locally on your machine. First launch takes about a minute while it sets itself up, and needs Python 3, which recent macOS versions offer to install for you. Yes, both, M1/M2/M3/M4 and Intel, on macOS 11 or later.
